LONDON, 1st May, 2024 – Artemis Origination, a global buyside advisory firm specialized in originating smart M&A transactions in the technology and professional services sectors for the world’s most innovative investors, has announced the appointment of William Hempstead to the role of Senior Associate based in London. Bringing over a decade of M&A experience, William joins Artemis from Canaccord Genuity, where he worked since 2021 on M&A origination and execution, including, most recently, the 2023 sale of Roboyo to Stanley Capital Partners. Prior to that he worked at several investment and M&A advisory firms in Colombia and Guatemala before joining EY’s TMT Strategy and Transactions team in New York and London from 2017.
“At Artemis, our unwavering focus remains on originating smart transactions in the most complex, fast-paced and competitive areas of the global economy. We’re delighted to have Will join our team in London,” said Paul Dondos, CEO at Artemis Origination. “His M&A experience across three continents, through multiple stages of the investment lifecycle, on both buy- and sell-side, and with prior specialism in the technology and professional services sectors, gives him deep, holistic insight into optimal business combinations and how to realize them. It is precisely this blend of deep, integrated knowledge, relentless creativity and passion for innovation that our clients value in Artemis as their go-to M&A origination partner.”
“I am hugely excited to be joining Artemis,’ says Hempstead. “Having witnessed, across corporates and financial sponsors, the acute need for enlightened deal sourcing and target engagement I fully appreciate the benefits a global, sector-specialist buyside organisation can bring. I look forward to the growth and expansion of Artemis’ offering as the network effects of our interactions with investors and owners at the innovation frontier allow more and more parties to identify and consummate successful transactions.”
